 As the head creative director of Emidore Beauty and a graduate in mass communication from Caleb University, Nigeria. Chisom’s journey into the world of makeup diverged from her childhood aspirations of becoming a fashion designer. Dissatisfied with the training imparted by a fashion mentor, she sought an avenue for personal growth and found her calling in makeup artistry. Turning to YouTube tutorials and utilizing her mother’s makeup collection, Chisom honed her skills by practicing with friends and sisters.

Emidore Beauty:

 The genesis of Emidore Beauty coincided with Chisom’s need to navigate financial independence as a university student. Launching her brand in her second year, she propelled herself into the competitive world of beauty. Relying on her saved-up funds, she sourced beauty products through a friend, overcoming the hurdles of entrepreneurship.

Challenges: 

Chisom encountered a significant challenge as a budding makeup artist – the struggle for brand recognition. Operating as a fledgling startup, she faced reluctance from potential clients who favored established names over emerging talents. Undeterred, she persevered, striving to carve a distinctive presence in the competitive beauty landscape. Financial constraints further compounded her journey, with the high costs of quality beauty products. Also, customers undervalue the expertise of emerging artists.

Achievements:

 Chisom’s tenacity bore fruit even during her university years, garnering recognition from acquaintances and strangers alike. Her portfolio expanded to include collaborations with Nigerian celebrities. And also she eventually establishedwalk-in studio, a testament to her dedication and skill. The journey from university student to Emidore Beauty showcases Chisom’s resilience and the transformative power of her artistry.
