Bosun Tijani: Co-Creation Hub Founder, widely hailed as a major force in African tech. Consequently, embarked on his career in 2003 as a Business Development Manager at DeliveryKing. Following this, he assumed the role of Deployment Lead (Africa) at Hewlett Packard Global Micro-enterprises Acceleration Programme.

Innovating African Tech -Pioneering a New Frontier

During his tenure, he oversaw the ODel learning center at the Africa Virtual University in Kenya. Besides, he successfully deployed the HP, IEEE, and University of Ibadan telecentre in Nigeria, as reported by Nairametrics.

Tijani’s professional journey also encompassed positions as an ICT Consultant at the International Trade Centre (UNCTAD/WTO). Furthermore, a Project Manager at INNOTEX, and an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research. Here, his research centered on applied digital epidemiology.

In 2010, Tijani charted a new course, venturing into entrepreneurship. Alongside Femi Longe, he co-founded Co-creation HUB which emerged as Nigeria’s pioneering open living lab and pre-incubation space. It was conceived as a versatile venue for nurturing innovative social tech ventures, as outlined on the website.

CcHUB served as a collaborative hub for technologists, social entrepreneurs, government, tech companies and impact investors. Additionally,  hackers in and around Lagos, uniting efforts to tackle Nigeria’s numerous societal challenges.

According to TechCabal, notable technology companies including TechCabal, Fora, Andela, and TechPoint took their initial steps at CcHUB. Subsequently, either originating as concepts or making their initial hires within the hub’s premises during their formative years.

Bosun Tijani’s Vision: The force behind Co-Creation Hub

Tijani articulated, they aimed to provide a platform to empower young Nigerians with innovative ideas who believe they can address a problem.

In 2019, Tijani assumed leadership of the largest tech network in Africa after CcHUB’s acquisition of iHub. This appointment positioned him as the CEO of both entities, overseeing their startup incubation initiatives. In addition venture capital endeavors spanning from Nigeria to Kenya, according to TechCrunch.

TechCrunch further reported, “The CcHub/iHub nexus will also leverage its size to forge more partnerships. Tijani and his team have already demonstrated proficiency in establishing collaborations with African and global tech entities. Including MainOne and Facebook.”

Bosun Tijani: Co-Creation Hub Founder -A Tech trailblazer 

Born on July 20, 1977, Tijani holds a diploma in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Jos. 2003, he pursued an MBA Course in Venture in Management at the Lagos Business School, Accenture, and Junior Achievement.

More so, Tijani also attained an MSc in Information Systems and Management from the Warwick Business School. Thereafter, completed the Innovation for Economic Development executive program at the Harvard Kennedy School. Most recently, he earned a Ph.D. in Innovation & Economic Development from the University of Leicester.
