Crafting Dreams Into Reality

Liz Taylor’s journey from a single mum with big ambitions to the CEO of a multimillion-pound luxury events empire is nothing short of inspiring. With sheer determination and an unshakable belief in herself, Liz has transformed the Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC) into the gold standard of event planning.

It all began with a chance meeting at The Midland Hotel, where her boldness led to planning her first client party. “I’d never planned anything that big, but I wasn’t one to back down,” Liz recalls. That confidence, honed during her retail days, became her springboard.

Liz Taylor’s Rise: A Story of Resilience

In 1985, Liz launched Liz Taylor Associates with only a few hundred pounds. By 1996, she co-founded the Taylor Lynn Corporation. Even during the 2008 recession, Liz propelled TLC to a £4 million turnover. Her mantra? “We may not be the cheapest, but we deliver the best.”

Behind the scenes, Liz’s daughters, Goldie and Katie, fueled her ambition. As a single parent, she wanted to provide for them and set an example of grit and hard work.

Adapting in the Face of Adversity

The pandemic hit the events industry hard, but Liz didn’t wait for recovery. Instead, she launched Liz Taylor Consultancy (LTC) and began sharing her expertise through her podcast, The Events That Made Me.

“I don’t see failure as an endpoint,” Liz says. “Every setback is a lesson. If you stay adaptable, you’ll always find a way forward.”

Lessons for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Liz’s advice for entrepreneurs is simple yet profound:

  • Build a brand: Your brand is your identity—make it memorable.
  • Embrace teamwork: Surround yourself with the best and enjoy the journey.
  • Stay disciplined: Structure your day, and success will follow.

Liz Taylor’s story proves that success isn’t just about the destination—it’s about embracing the journey, learning from every twist and turn, and celebrating the wins along the way.
