From Student Hustle to Business Visionary: Chioma’s Entrepreneurial Journey

As a young entrepreneur running an online bag store, she faced numerous challenges. Moreover, despite having the advantage of her parents’ guidance in the business world. She had to contend with the demanding schedule of her department. Likewise, with its early-morning rehearsals, overnight stays for productions, and rigorous theoretical studies, only added to the complexity.

In her second year, Chioma saw an opportunity in the student area and launched her online store “BAGSBYSUEBEAUTY.” The response was overwhelmingly positive, with fellow students eager to get their hands on the stylish bags she curated. Unfortunately, she soon noticed her studies taking a backseat and realized her academic performance was suffering. Distracted by her phone during classes, forgetting assignments, and missing classes to make deliveries, she realized she needed a change. Heeding her parents’ advice, Chioma put her business on hold until graduation, allowing herself to focus on her academics. This wasn’t easy, as she had already built a loyal customer base and was passionate about her business. Yet, she knew her education was too important to neglect.

With renewed focus and a clearer perspective, Chioma relaunched her business after the lockdown ended. This time, she created detailed timetables that effectively balanced her studies and business. She now has no regrets about starting her entrepreneurial journey while still a student. As a young woman, she wanted to be independent and provide for herself, a goal she successfully achieved.

Today, Chioma is fully dedicated to growing her brand, SUEBEAUTY. This ambitious brand encompasses two branches: BAGSBYSUEBEAUTY, specializing in all kinds of bags, and SUEBEAUTYPLACE, showcasing her professional makeup artistry skills. Chioma’s ambition is to see SUEBEAUTY reach its full potential, and now as a graduate, Chioma’s dedication and strategic planning have paid off. SUEBEAUTY is flourishing, with a growing customer base and a strong online presence. Chioma is now looking to expand her business further. Subsequently, shifting her focus from retail to wholesale. Primarily, allowing her to reach a wider audience and make a bigger impact on the fashion and beauty industry.
