Vivian Savia Redefines Success in Business and Skincare. Savia, a seasoned accounting and finance professional, holds an M.A. in International Business Management from Middlesex University. Likewise an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, and a B.Sc in Accounting from the Imo State University, Owerri.

From Banking to Beauty: Vivian’s Unconventional Journey

That being the case, she is the Lead Formulator and Founder of Nature’s Bar Co. Additionally, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) London. More so, a trained Formulator at the Little Soap School in the Cotswolds and Formula Botanica, London.

Accordingly, with 10 years of experience in Budgetary Control, Project Accounting, Grants Management, Organizational Assessment, and Capacity-Building. As a result, Vivian established Nature’s Bar Co. in 2015. Currently serving as a Financial Manager in the private development sector, she ensures project resources are effectively and efficiently utilized.

Through a Digital Skincare Society Platform, Vivian shares her knowledge of skincare. Thereby, coaching, training, and empowering women to unlock their hidden potential. In an interview with Ijeoma Thomas-Odia, she recounts her journey as an entrepreneur and finance professional. Thus revealing a mindset shift that led her to venture into business unexpectedly.

Starting her career in the banking sector over 13 years ago, Vivian transitioned to the development sector. Subsequently, managing financial systems and processes within an international language technology organization. In 2015, inspired by a mindset shift and a beautiful fragrant bar of soap during a holiday, she founded Nature’s Bar Co.

Consequently, facing the dilemma of balancing her business and career, Vivian structured the business professionally. As a result,  forming a close-knit team to run daily operations. She subsequently, outsourced functions like auditing, HR, and logistics, allowing the business to thrive independently.

Initially skeptical about entrepreneurship, Vivian’s perspective changed after absorbing teachings from her mentor, Myles Munroe. A holiday discovery of hand-made soap in Dubai therefore ignited the idea to create non-toxic, natural skincare products. Her entrepreneurship journey, including cold process soap training, reflects dedication and determination.

 As a finance professional, she emphasizes the significance of measuring and interpreting business metrics for sustainable growth.

Navigating challenges in the Nigerian business landscape, Vivian embraces flexibility in methods while maintaining a fixed vision. Moreover, despite obstacles like fuel scarcity and exchange rate fluctuations, she identifies opportunities in the beauty market for investors. Thereby, emphasizing the potential of locally and internationally demanded raw materials.
