Amy Denet Deal is transforming Indigenous entrepreneurship. As the founder of 4Kinship, a Santa Fe brand, she combines culture and commerce. Her mission is to empower and elevate Indigenous communities through creativity and business.
Amy Denet Deal’s Roots
Amy’s path to 4Kinship began with reconnection. Adopted and raised far from her Navajo heritage, she sought her roots. “I never knew my birth family,” she says. Her journey home started in 2019 when she left Los Angeles for Santa Fe.
After years in corporate fashion, Amy brought her expertise back to her community. “Those years taught me how to create stories,” she explains. Now, she uses those skills to amplify Indigenous voices.
4Kinship: A Space for Creators
In 2022, Amy and her daughter launched 4Kinship. The brand sells upcycled clothing and supports Indigenous artists. It’s more than a store; it’s a hub for mentorship and growth.
Amy helps Indigenous entrepreneurs learn business skills. “I’m here as the matriarch,” she says. Her downtown Santa Fe shop highlights Native-made designs, building pride and opportunity.
Giving Back Through Action
Amy’s impact extends beyond fashion. She built a skate park in Navajo Nation, creating a vibrant community space. “It’s more than recreation,” she shares. “It’s connection.”
The skate park has become a gathering spot for all ages. Families come to cook, skate, and share stories. For Amy, it’s a symbol of what’s possible with shared vision.
A Future for Indigenous Leaders
Amy envisions a world where Indigenous entrepreneurs thrive. She sees ecommerce as a tool for empowerment and storytelling. “We shine,” she says. “We just need more elevation.”
Through 4Kinship, Amy proves businesses can uplift communities. Her work inspires a new generation to dream big and take action.
