Your Course of Study Is a Business Asset: Treat It Like One

In Nigeria, the conversation around education and employment is no longer comfortable. An engineering student trained to solve problems systematically and build things that scale is learning exactly what it takes to build a business that does not collapse under its own weight.

The knowledge is there. Therefore, the question is whether you are extracting it. This matters because in a competitive market, what separates similar businesses is rarely the product alone. It is the thinking behind the product. This includes the way it is communicated, designed, positioned, and grown. Your course of study is where that thinking gets built if you take it seriously.

Consequently, do not treat your academics like an afterthought just because a nine-to-five may not be your destination. Show up, pay attention, and ask a different question in every lecture room: how does this make my business better?
