3 Million technical talent

African Internship Programmes are greatly shaping the future of Africa’s Technical workforce. The Renewed Hope agenda includes the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme. Program aims to strengthen Nigeria’s technical workforce for digital economy. It will also help Nigeria become a talent exporter. The initial phase, done with NITDA, will engage various parties. Accordingly, like fellow training providers, partners, and placement organizations.

Africa’s Internship Programme – 3MTT

Following the Ministry’s 1%-10%-100% plan, this phase will train and position 30,000 technical talents. Hitting 1% of our total goal, It will operate using the framework collaboratively with government agencies. Additionally, training providers, educational institutions, development agencies, and the private sector.

In the first phase, we’ll emphasize these twelve (12) technical skills:

5. Product Management

6. Data Science

7. Animation

African Development Bank Programme

AFRICAN INTENSHIP PROGRAMME – AFDB

The African Development Bank drives economic growth and progress across Africa. 81 member-states, including 54 in Africa, we’re committed to reducing poverty through sustainable growth. To enhance our impact, we’re focusing on energy, agro-business, industrialization and integration. The program is integral to Talent Management Framework, supporting our Ten-Year Strategy.

The program aims to:

  1. Offer students hands-on experience at the African Development Bank.
  2. Create a pool of potential future candidates for the Bank. But, it’s important to note that internship doesn’t guarantee immediate employment.

For the Internship, we seek candidates from fields relevant to the Bank’s work, like Economics, Agriculture. Albeit courses like Environment, Finance, Law, Communications etc. Students with projects aligned with the Bank’s mission will receive special consideration.

To qualify for the internship, you must:

  1. Be of legal age in your home country and not exceed thirty (30) years old when the internship starts.
  2. Currently, be enrolled in a master’s level program at a recognized university.
  3. Apply for the internship within one (1) year of obtaining your degree.
  4. Hold nationality from one of the African Development Bank’s member countries.
  5. Provide a school letter confirming your enrollment or a copy of your degree. Also, you should be proficient in either English or French, the Bank’s working languages.
  6. Have proficiency in standard software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
