 Fahad Awadh: Transforming Tanzania\u2019s Cashew Industry.<\/p>\n

Fahad Awadh<\/a> is the co-founded YYTZ Agro-Processing, where he now serves as Chief Cashew Officer. Primarily, he’s driven by a deep desire to make a positive impact in his native Tanzania. Although born in Tanzania, Fahad moved to Bahrain with his family at age two and later to Canada. Particularly, where he joined an International Business and Technology program that ignited his entrepreneurial spirit. Fortunately, by grade eight, he launched his first business selling custom t-shirts. Nevertheless, during university, he pursued various ventures, including a media production company and a food delivery service. His studies in business administration and his participation in numerous competitions and programs further sharpened his understanding. Even so, of entrepreneurship and social innovation.<\/p>\n

Fahad Awadh: Transforming Tanzania\u2019s Cashew Industry<\/h3>\n

Throughout his life, Fahad remained determined to return to Tanzania and create lasting value. Inspired by his father, a pilot who traveled extensively, and the connection he felt during annual summer visits. Fahad automatically knew he wanted to contribute to his homeland in a meaningful way.<\/p>\n

In 2014, he moved back to Tanzania, initially launching Coco Beach Fresh Juice Bar, which offered healthful drinks from local fruits. However, he soon realised that he wanted to make a more scalable and significant impact. Recognising the untapped potential in Tanzania’s cashew sector, he identified a gap between the farmers. Alternatively, growing cashews and the consumers enjoying them. Fahad also saw how exporting raw cashews diminished value for both farmers and the country. Embracing this challenge, he joined forces with his brother, Ali Awadh, who brought expertise in finance and logistics. Notably, together they founded YYTZ Agro-Processing in 2016.<\/p>\n

Processing and Community Empowerment<\/h3>\n

Since then, Fahad has led YYTZ Agro-Processing with a vision to build a sustainable cashew industry in Tanzania. Subsequently, he has gained recognition as one of Africa’s most influential and innovative entrepreneurs. Majorly, earning numerous awards and appearing in outlets such as Forbes, CNN, and BBC. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Fahad demonstrates a commitment to social impact. Nonetheless, actively supporting youth empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship initiatives. Fahad Awadh<\/a>: Transforming Tanzania\u2019s Cashew Industry resonates experiences with aspiring entrepreneurs.
