At the time, existing payment systems were limited for cross-border or cross-platform transactions. Determined to bridge this gap, Agboola embarked on creating Flutterwave, which unified payment solutions. This innovation addressed the disarray in Africa’s payment infrastructure.<\/p>

In 2016, Agboola introduced Flutterwave as a one-stop payment solution for merchants and small businesses. It eliminated the need for multiple providers. Its immediate popularity marked a significant milestone. Just four years after its launch, Flutterwave’s influence extended to 15 nations.<\/p>

\u00a0Agboola actively participated in the Young African Leaders <\/a>Initiative at the Young African Leaders Initiative Network.<\/p>

He announced the successful raising of $35 million to enhance payment facilitation at Flutterwave. The funds will be utilized to expand the company’s operations into new countries.<\/p>

Under Agboola\u2019s guidance, Flutterwave successfully completed the Series B Extension round of financing. Finally, securing investments from notable entities including MasterCard, CRE Ventures. Thus, Fintech Collective, 4DX Ventures, and Raba Capital.<\/p>

Agboola serves on the board of directors for the Corporate Council on Africa. He chairs the Board of Directors at the Great Ife Alumni Association Inc. Illustrating graduates and associates of Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.<\/a><\/p>

In 2019, Agboola became a member of Fast Company’s Impact Council. A group comprised of entrepreneurs, technologists, corporate leaders, and designers. He was also recognized as one of the Quartz Africa Innovators for the year 2019.<\/p>
