Entrepreneurs need access to market intelligence, regulatory knowledge, strategic partnerships, and reliable business networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To support the growth of African businesses across the continent, the African Union Commission (AUC) has opened applications for the <strong>Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship Programme Cohort 2 (2026\/27)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Managed by the AUC Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals (ETTIM), the Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship is a continental business acceleration initiative designed to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) strengthen their operations and explore opportunities beyond their domestic markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the success of its inaugural cohort, which trained 56 fellows across 30 African countries and generated more than USD 1 million in commercial contracts, Cohort 2 is set to expand its reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme aims to select <strong>100 fellows from all 55 African Union Member States<\/strong>. It also aligns with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), with targets including USD 2 million in new revenue and the creation of 500 sustainable jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship Programme Clusters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship<\/strong> supports registered businesses operating across selected product and service sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Products Cluster<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Businesses involved in <a href=\"https:\/\/thestudententrepreneur.org\/\">intra-African<\/a> trade within the following sectors may be eligible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Manufacturing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Agro-processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Creative Industries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services Cluster<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The services cluster includes businesses operating in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">ICT and Digital Solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Fintech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Logistics and Transport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fellowship Tiers for Selected Businesses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected enterprises will be placed into one of three tiers based on their stage of business development and operational maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tier 1: Growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This tier offers <strong>35 spaces<\/strong> for businesses that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Have operated for two to five years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Have at least three full-time employees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Can demonstrate clear market traction and growth potential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tier 2: Expansion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This tier provides <strong>40 spaces<\/strong> for companies that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Have operated for five to 10 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Employ between 10 and 30 people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Are preparing to expand through cross-border trade and new African markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tier 3: Scale-Ready<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final tier offers <strong>25 spaces<\/strong> for more established businesses that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Have operated for more than 10 years, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Have developed an investor-ready business profile and are prepared for significant growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Enterprise Africa Network Fellows Will Receive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected participants will take part in a <strong>12-month structured business development programme<\/strong> covering 10 practical modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fellowship includes access to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Mentorship from African Union institutional partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Intellectual property (IP) guidance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Trade and market information through the African Trade Observatory (ATO).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Business development and market expansion support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs and business partners across Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tier 1 and Tier 2 participants will also take part in virtual market-entry sessions covering 10 AfCFTA pilot countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Tier 3 businesses will gain access to continental business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking opportunities designed to support partnerships and commercial expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enterprise Africa Network Fellowship Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme is open to formally registered youth- and women-led small businesses operating within an African Union Member State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Operate a formally registered business in an AU Member State.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Have operated for at least two years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Employ a minimum of three full-time staff members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Be youth-led or women-led.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Meet the requirements of the selected programme cluster and tier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must also provide business registration information, employee details, operational history, and a written pitch of up to 800 words explaining their business and what they hope to achieve through the fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply for the Enterprise Africa
