Many people agree that fashion is beyond dresses and statement pieces; it is self expression, and confidence. Dehinbo Busayo Adebisi<\/a> is one of those who agree with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a teenager battling with low self-esteem, she found a safe space in clothing. As a result, what she wore became how she carried herself. That personal experience planted the seed for everything that followed. Today, Busayo, popularly known as Molade, is a final-year Insurance student at the University of Lagos. In fact, she is the founder of Molade Designs, a creative fashion brand she has been building for over three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Molade Designs Stands For<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Molade Designs operates across two distinct spaces: custom everyday pieces tailored for women and high-end designs for runways and pageants. Beyond this, the single mission of this brand lays underneath: to make every woman who wears her work feel an instant boost of confidence the moment she walks into a room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem Busayo set out to solve was one she had seen play out too many times. Women would invest in custom outfits, pay good money, and walk away disappointed.\u00a0Additionally, the poor fits and designs would look nothing like what was ordered. Therefore, Molade Designs was built to fix that, with a commitment to precision and quality on every single piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Event that changed everything <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Busayo knew the business had legs when the public started responding to her work in ways she did not expect. The genuine attention her custom pieces attracted made it clear that this was no longer just a passion project. It was a brand with real potential, if she stayed consistent and kept pushing her creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, that belief was confirmed on a runway. At an early-stage showcase, Molade Designs competed alongside fifteen other designers and placed in the top two. They were fully sponsored, with dignitaries in the audience. Standing there, nervous but present, and walking away with recognition and financial support shifted everything. Most importantly, it was the moment she stopped seeing the brand as something she was building on the side and started seeing it as something with a competitive future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Molade Designs is Teaching Busayo<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Getting there has demanded a level of discipline she did not anticipate. Balancing a final year of academic pressure with the expectations of what many already perceive as a fully established brand<\/a> is not simple. People see Molade Designs and expect a professional operation. This is not only a compliment, but also a constant weight. Limited time and capital make scaling harder than she would like. Likewise, being pulled in two directions at once tests her consistency regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, three years in, she is still here. Her advice to students starting out is honest: the journey will not be smooth, and setbacks are guaranteed. However, the most important thing is not to quit or restart every time something goes wrong. Pick up where you stopped and keep moving. Be proud of your progress, and do not be shy about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
