A Covenant University student<\/a> is turning a fast-built idea into a high-potential startup after securing \u20a650 million in funding from the Federal Government\u2019s Student Venture Capital Grant (S-VCG) programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marvellous Itsuokor, a Computer Science undergraduate, emerged as one of the beneficiaries of the initiative, which supports innovation-driven startups across Nigerian tertiary institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, beyond the funding, what stands out is how quickly the idea came to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Idea to Execution in Weeks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Itsuokor\u2019s startup, Pallo, is an AI-powered tool designed to solve a common problem in software development: poor code documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform analyses codebases and automatically generates documentation, helping developers save time and work more efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes his story notable is speed. According to him, the product was built within three weeks of applying for the programme. \u201cExecution matters more than ideas,\u201d he said, highlighting the approach that shaped his journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Itsuokor Built Alone and Learned<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the early stage, Itsuokor handled development, design, and marketing on his own. That kind of hands-on involvement reflects a growing trend among student founders. This is learning by doing, rather than waiting for perfect conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also shows the level of ownership required to move an idea from concept to something fundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role of the Environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Itsuokor also pointed to the support system around him. According to him, Covenant University provided an environment that made it easier to explore opportunities like the S-VCG programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was among a select number of finalists representing private universities, further highlighting the competitiveness of the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Comes Next for Itsuokor and Pallo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the \u20a650 million funding<\/a>, Pallo is expected to scale its capabilities and reach a wider market beyond Nigeria. The goal is not just to build a tool, but to position a student-led startup within the global tech space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Itsuokor\u2019s journey reinforces a key idea for student entrepreneurs: Opportunities often go to those who can move quickly, build something tangible, and present it clearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a space where many people sit on ideas, his story is a reminder that execution, no matter how imperfect, can open real doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
