Arnold Dizon Knows How to Grow More Than Crops<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arnold Dizon started small. Just a man with a field, a dream, and a bunch of onions.
He didn\u2019t want to just farm. He wanted to grow something bigger, something that could help his whole village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s how Kalasag Cooperative began. It started with 30 farmers. Now, it helps feed global food brands<\/a>.
Thanks to Jollibee Group Foundation\u2019s Farmer Entrepreneurship Program, Arnold and his team learned how to build real businesses<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They now craft plans, get certified, and run things like pros. Arnold says, \u201cWe win together, not alone.\u201d
And he means it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arnold Dizon Builds a Future That Tastes Like Success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arnold\u2019s kids now work the land he got through Kalasag.
What started as a way to sell onions fairly has turned into a full-blown community business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalasag doesn\u2019t just grow onions. It gives loans, pays dividends, and helps kids go to school.
He tells young farmers, \u201cLife\u2019s not a race, but if you farm right, your family grows rich.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sounds like a guy who knows where he\u2019s going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wency Learns the Business Behind the Dirt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before Kalasag, Wencelito Gomez had one goal: find a buyer.
He sold onions for one peso per kilo. That\u2019s barely enough to buy rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the local government linked him to JGF, everything changed.
Wency got training, support, and a steady market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He now leads, mentors, and inspires others. His favorite part?
\u201cPartnerships make it work,\u201d he says. \u201cWe can’t do this alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, his voice reaches other cooperatives. And his story helps others believe in farming again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Kalasag supplies half of Jollibee Group\u2019s onion needs.
They\u2019ve sold 13 million kilos of crops to brands like Chowking and Mang Inasal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s not just good business. That\u2019s real money, \u20b1703 million in sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best part? These farmers now control their future.
They no longer wait for luck. They grow it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arnold\u2019s Story Peels Back the Truth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During a recent visit to Kalasag, guests saw how this all works.
They toured the farms, peeled onions, and sat with the people who made it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
