In a world where quality healthcare remains a luxury to many, Tito<\/a> Ovia is flipping technology on its head to change the narrative\u2014specifically in Africa. As one of the co-founders of Helium Health, she is disrupting the way hospitals operate, physicians treat patients, and data shapes decision-making on the continent.<\/p>\n

From Vision to Action<\/h3>\n

Tito Ovia became interested in healthcare when she was young<\/a>, but she didn’t just stop at theory. She studied biomedical sciences in the UK and came back to Nigeria with a mission to get things done. With Helium Health, Tito and her team introduced electronic medical records, hospital management software, and telemedicine platforms into once-analog health centers. Hospitals were now able to go faster, store data properly, and provide quality care.<\/p>\n

Perhaps most importantly, Tito made sure their solutions weren’t a blanket template. Instead, she led the charge to tailor systems to local environments\u2014so that hospitals in Lagos, Accra, or Dakar could all access smart, scalable tech.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Tito Ovia is a supporter of public-private partnerships. She works with governments, health ministries, and development institutions to foster long-term impact in the healthcare system in Africa.<\/p>\n

Empowering Women and Youth in Technology<\/h3>\n

Apart from health technology, Tito also works actively to empower young African women to pursue careers in STEM. She regularly speaks at forums, mentors future tech entrepreneurs, and is an advocate for educational programs that drive gender parity in innovation.<\/p>\n

Her contribution has earned her global recognition in the form of listing on Forbes and international magazine features. However, she remains focused on the vision: enabling a smarter, healthier Africa with technology.<\/p>\n
