Most teenagers spend high school figuring out what they want to do with their lives. Michael Satterlee spent his running two businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Satterlee is an 18-year-old entrepreneur from Clifton Park, New York, who built his first company, Solefully, while still a full-time high school student. Solefully designs and 3D prints unique accessories for Crocs, and it grew into a six-figure business before he had even graduated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Shoe Accessories to Beer Koozies<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Noticing that several of his 3D printers were not being fully used, Satterlee asked himself a simple question: why not start a second store and put those machines to work? After brainstorming, he landed on beer koozies, the insulating sleeves that keep canned drinks cold. The product existed everywhere, but he saw room to make it better and, more importantly, make it go viral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His solution was the Beerzooka<\/a>, a patent-pending koozie that opens at both the top and bottom, so cans slide in easily. The design also features a mechanism that ejects the old can when a new one is loaded, similar to a shell reloading action. With his experience in computer-aided design, he had a working prototype within a single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going Viral and Scaling Fast<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

When Satterlee posted the Beerzooka online, it drew 50 million views. His company, Cruise Cup, launched in August 2025 with $100,000 in sales in its first month alone. After testing different approaches with paid advertising, sales climbed to $315 in November, all within a few months of launching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His content strategy<\/a> was deliberate. He tests everything on TikTok and Instagram first, and if it gains traction there, he moves it to Facebook ads. This is a formula he says works 90 percent of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Challenges That Come With Fast Growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rapid success brought real operational pressure. Each build plate of three Beerzookas takes 15 hours to print. That means output is capped at around 400 units per day even with 150 machines running. A single viral video can create a backlog that is hard to clear quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To solve the production bottleneck long term, Satterlee is working on manufacturing the Beerzooka in stainless steel. He now runs Cruise Cup from a 1,500 square foot warehouse with two full-time employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Advice to Young Entrepreneurs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Satterlee\u2019s advice is to test as many ideas as possible. Social media has made it easy to experiment with products and content without risking significant money. The cost of a failed idea is low but the cost of never testing one is much higher.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
